Credit requirements

Every week, one problem will be assigned, for a total of 12 problems. If you are struggling to solve the assigned problem, you may ask for a little hint, the problems should just refresh your memory and should not take more than an hour.

To receive credit for the course, you need to earn at least 8 points. Points can be earned by correctly submitting homework assignments or by presenting selected exercise problems in class. You may also be asked to explain any of your submitted homework assignments live, and I will probably do that at least once.

You have until the exercise session two weeks later to submit each problem. If you are having trouble meeting the requirements for receiving credit, please contact me, and we can arrange an individual solution.

Problems should be submitted through Postal Owl, token: 534085bc583c.

You are allowed to discuss the problems with your classmates, but each student must write up their own solution independently. Using LLMs to generate solutions is prohibited. However, asking questions such as “How does computation using the Chinese remainder theorem work?” is allowed.

You may use theorems stated in the course notes (česká verze) and in the basic courses from the first two years of study. Any theorems from other sources must be proved.
